My Newly Designed Webpage in Macromedia Flash 8
Last month I had started to design my first Macromedia Flash 8 webpage, after 2 months of self studying it. Finally, it is being completed and uploaded to the server a few days ago. The fully flash webpage that I had designed is a corporate webpage on a tropical wood moulding factory – K & P United Sdn. Bhd. which is located in Malaysia.
Feel free to drop by and visit my first designed webpage at http://www.kpunited.com.
In this particular project, I have used a few technique, which I would like to share with you all. The first technique is quite simple, which is using the gradually reveal of pages whenever a page is being loaded. This is called the “mask effect”.
Furthermore, I also used a technique called “upload external .swf file”, which means it will load the external created .swf file (.swf stand for “Shockwave File” which is a movie clip file that is used to play flash animations on web) into the main page structure that I have created. Each and every page that you can see, such as “Home”, “Products”, “Other Business”, “Contact Us” and “Timber Information” are individual .swf file. So, this technique is very useful, as it will split down the whole webpage into several small pieces of files, which will “wait” there and would not load until the user had pressed the button. This will dramatically speed up the loading speed of the main page.
So, I’m proud to say that, this is a well created webpage for a self learner, and hopefully you can give me some of your valuable feedback, so that I can improve my up and coming design.
